With your expert local guide and a group of no more than 20 fellow travelers, you’ll visit 5 of Venice’s smaller islands: San Francesco del Deserto, Murano, Burano, Torcello, and Mazzorbo. Throughout the day, you’ll walk in the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi, see vibrantly painted houses, visit a secret island vineyard, view Venice’s oldest church, and explore a world-famous glass museum.

Escape the hustle and bustle of Venice on this day trip to the smaller islands in the lagoon.
Meet your guide in Central Venice and hop aboard your private boat. First stop, the monastery on the Island of San Francesco del Deserto, where an actual friar will show you around and the beautiful gardens and tell you about their connection to St. Francis of Assisi.
Then motor over to Burano for a self-guided visit to the lace museum. Afterward, you’ll cross a little bridge to the island of Mazzorbo where you’ll tour a secret winery that has been operating since the 14th century. Taste their unique style of wine before enjoying free time to explore Burano and get some lunch.
Next, visit the Island of Torcello for a tour of Venice’s oldest church, along with more free time. Your final island is Murano, home to Venice’s famous glassmakers since the 13th century.
