The basilica of San Simplicio, in Olbia, is the most important and ancient religious monument of north-eastern Sardinia and a testimony of the spread of Christianity on the island. Cathedral until 1839, parish church since 1955, it was given the title of minor basilica, in 1993, by Pope John Paul II.
It is dedicated to San Simplicio, the proto-bishop of the city and martyr under the emperor Diocletian.

The building stands in the upper part of the historic center and was built on the ruins of a Roman pagan temple, perhaps dedicated to Hercules. Originally dedicated to the Conversion of Saint Paul, it was the only parish in the Olbies until 1954, when the ancient basilica of San Simplicio was reopened.

Next to the aqueduct a large settling tank was built, dug completely into the stone and provided with six holes for ventilation. On the sides of the cistern there are two other smaller tanks and a water inlet and outlet. On the arches you can still see the water transport channels.
It is the best preserved Roman archaeological site in Sardinia.

The lighthouse of the Isola della Bocca is an active lighthouse located on a small island, at the southern entrance of the outer port of Olbia, 250 meters from the mainland, in the municipality of Olbia.

We will stop off at the beaches of Capo Ceraso to do two dives to practice snorkeling.
The first stop will be in Porto Vitello and the second stop in Punta Ruja.
Both locations offer a spectacular sea floor.
