We will take you to discover the mysterious spots of a millions of years old land to discover a unique and fascinating coast. For a visit to the Fico cave and the Bue Marino cave, the entrance fee is charged separately. It is the best option to visit the most beautiful coves of Ogliastra that can be reached only by boat or difficult trekking routes. This is the best time and money saving option with daily departures.
The Blue line is the ideal line for those not staying nearby or for those who don't like early departures during the holidays: it is the last scheduled departure from the ports of Arbatax at 10:00 am and Santa Maria Navarrese at 10:30 am.
The itinerary includes two stops at the beach, at Mariolu cove and at Luna cove. Furthermore, the Blu line is the only line that offers the possibility of visiting two caves on one day, the Fico cave and the Bue Marino cave. You can opt for a packed lunch or a lunch at the restaurant, present in Cala Luna. The return to the port is expected around 6.00pm / 6.30pm.
Itinerary: it takes about an hour of navigation to reach the first beach, during which the coast of Baunei offers breathtaking views. Approximately 15 minutes after the departure with the red line, you will see Pedra Longa, a 128-meter high limestone natural monument (the only large cliff reachable by car in these forty kilometres of uncontaminated nature). Immediately after this view, there's bay of Forrola and the Baus waterfalls. Just before the natural border between the Gulf of Arbatax and the Gulf of Orosei, marked by the head of Monte Santo, appears the cave of Colombi.
After crossing the cape, visit the two "fjords" of Portu Quau and Portu Pedrosu. Another fifteen minutes of navigation in which it will be possible to admire the Montes Insanes and the famous Cala Goloritzé before making the first stop for the bath. After Cala Mariolu, you will also have the opportunity to admire the forest at Biriola cove, which received its name to the beautiful cove that rises at the foot of the cliff.
You can spot the "Furrow Fossil", Between Cala Sisine and Cala Luna, about six to seven meters above sea level and the splendid Cala Ginepro before Cala Luna.
