Meet your certified local guide and visit two wineries located in the Southern Province of Asti: a Barbera wine producer and either a Moscato passito one or a sparkling wine producer. Tastings of at least three wines in each winery are included. Along the way enjoy a panoramic drive over the UNESCO World Heritage hills as your guide will introduce peculiarities of the area. You can select Transport to be included or not: please refer to tour options.

After meeting your certified local guide, you will be exploring the Monferrato hills, a UNESCO World Heritage site where vineyards design a unique patchwork dotted by hilltop towns and winding roads. First, visit a winery where local Barbera grapes are aged with a technique similar to the one used in Barolo. As a result, the newest DOCG appellation, named "Nizza", recently withdrawn the attention of wine critics. Enjoy a first tasting of four wines.  On the way to the second winery the tour guide provides a detailed presentation of the region, referring to the elements of the landscape and to the unique soil composition, enriched by sea fossils and minerals left from a previous, ancient bay of seawater. The itinerary takes you in two wineries which differ in style, atmosphere and approach to wine-making: one is modern and surprises guests for the contemporary works of art which stand in the vineyards and in the cellar. The second stop can vary according to availability: either a small family-run producer of Moscato passito wine (located in a superb location overlooking the hills and the town of Canelli), or a sparkling wine producer with a tour of the underground cellars excavated under the hill and listed as a UNESCO site for the charming architecture and hard work of men who created these artificial tunnels. Either way a tasting of at least three wines will be included. You can select Transport to be included or not.

The truffle hunting is an informative and fun experience whose aim is to see how truffles are found by the
friendly dog, that is free to browse around without leash, and how the hunter provides directions to the animal suggesting trees or ditches that he knows to be good for truffles.
Nonetheless, our guests get involved in the process by helping the hunter during the extraction process and they witness the close relationship between the man and the dog, by far the highlight of this experience.
On top of that, the truffle hunting is a real “guided tour” in the woods, where guests get a complete presentation on the environment needed for truffles to grow, explanation about types of trees involved, soil characteristics and stories of the hunter’s family. All aspects of truffles’ biological life cycle are touched, as well as culinary uses and how to recognize a good truffle from an average one.
