Meet your guide in Niasca, a sandy beach nestled in the vegetation of the Mediterranean Sea, next to Paraggi Bay, famous for its crystal clear blue water. Gliding into Niasca’s bay, the extraordinary panorama of the gulf of Paraggi will immediately seduce you. The bay, forbidden to boat traffic is ideal to take confidence with the paddle board and start the first part of your tour: a 45 minutes paddle boarding lesson!

Getting confident with the board, you will then be ready to start the tour which will take you exploring Portofino’s unique territory and hidden gems, sea and land, leaving space for possible sightseeing of sea mammals, birds and wild animals. Portofino’s Protected Marine Area is characterized by one of the most beautiful and unspoiled coasts in the world. The tour allows you to visit the most important ecological, wildlife and historical attractions of the territory: Paraggi’s ecosystem, Portofino’s lighthouse and harbor, Olivetta beach dominated by centuries-old maritime pines and the eighteen-century Church of San Giorgio.

With your paddle board you will establish a real contact with nature and the environment.

Glide into Portofino’s Protected Marine Area, one of the most beautiful coasts in the world, admiring its caverns and hidden creeks. The tour allows you to visit the most important ecological, wildlife and historical attractions, like Paraggi’s ecosystem, Portofino’s lighthouse and village, the eighteen-century Church of San Giorgioand the bay of Vitrale. After the paddling to Portofino and beyond, time is set for snorkeling. You will return to the sports center, wear the supplied snorkeling equipment – all sizes available - and dive inside the bay of Paraggi. This bay, forbidden to boat traffic therefor completely safe for swimming, is famous of its Posidonia meadow and, thanks also to the Park's safeguard,it is extremely rich in flora and fish fauna. Your guide will point the most interesting spots of this natural aquarium making unique your experience.

After two hours and a half of tour exploring the area kayaking and snorkeling, you’ll return to the original departure point and will be dedicated an extra half an hour with your local guide to share more curiosities on territorial traditions. Meet your guide in Niasca, a sandy beach nestled in the vegetation of the Mediterranean Sea, next to Paraggi Bay, famous for its crystal clear blue water. After getting settled in the outdoor sports center and supplied of the necessary snorkeling equipment (all sizes available) you will be introduced by your local guide to marine and environmental notions.

Comfortably sitting on the terrace, through pictures you will be briefed on the great variety of fish species and marine plants you will come across while snorkeling. After a quick explanation on how to use this equipment, you are ready to dive. The environmental guide will lead you underwater searching for hidden treasures in Portofino’s Marine Protected Area.

During the first part of the excursion inside Niasca’s bay, you will swim above one of the most extended Posidonia meadow of the area which together with the near cliff, hosts many species such as tube-worms, starfish, pinna nobilis, posidonia, sponges and mollusks. Leaving Niasca’s bay to our shoulders, we get into the second part of our journey swimming towards Portofino in a coast section rich of fish species, such as sea breams, gilt-head bream, sea bass, moray eel, damsel and many more. Crossing the bay, you’ll swim above different habitats, such as posidonia meadow and sandy seabed, house of many different species.

This bay, forbidden to boat traffic is therefor completely safe for swimming.

The tour runs during the months between June and October.
