Escape Rome for a day on this tour to the medieval town of Sermoneta and the Garden of Ninfa. Enjoy a scenic drive south of the city, through the Agro Pontino countryside and the Riviera d'Ulisse area, to reach Ninfa, which has been described as 'the most romantic garden in the world' and has provided inspiration for writers such as Virginia Woolf. Walk through the garden to see the 1,300 plant species that grow among the remnants of a medieval village, and then head to a typical 'agriturismo' (farmhouse that provides accommodation) for lunch before visiting Sermoneta.

On board a comfortable coach, head south from Rome to the Riviera d’Ulisse and drive through the Agro Pontino countryside.
As you reach Ninfa, once an ancient village, enjoy your exploration of the gorgeous Garden of Ninfa, where writers including Virginia Woolf found inspiration for their creations. Admire small waterfalls, and see abundant plant life, such as bamboo, flowering cherry trees, irises, and California poppies.
Afterward, visit a local agriturismo for lunch, and then make the short, scenic drive to Sermoneta, one of the best preserved medieval towns in Italy. See its historical, artistic, and cultural sights, like tower houses, the cathedral, the walls, and the majestic castle Caetani.
Your day trip ends with return to Rome.
