Experience an amazing e-bike guided tour and discover the most hidden side of Puglia. Your experienced and local tour guide will guide you along the magic Itria Valley countryside, riding through dry-stone walls, trulli, olive trees and surrounded by breath-taking views.
You will start with a visit to Alberobello, UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996 and capital of Trulli, symbol par excellence of Puglia. The visit to its two main districts, including more than 1.000 trulli, is an incredible show. Here, it will be possible to visit Rione Monti and Aia Piccola, the trullo church dedicated to St. Anthony and the “Belvedere” panoramic terrace.
After the visit, climb onto our e-bike’s saddle and discover the incredible nature of the Itria Valley, cycling surrounded by oaks, olive trees and dry-stone walls. Through hamlets and country roads, to admire the vineyards and rocky churches, characterized by the typical red soil of Puglia, until reaching the fascinating village of Locorotondo, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy and its name derives from the characteristic round shape of the old town. Here, you will visit the old town with its white houses, including the unusual “Cummerse” pitched roof houses.
Climb onto the e-bike’s saddle again and cycle along the suggestive country roads and natural cycle paths until reaching a typical Masseria for the lunch. Here, you can appreciate the authentic Apulian dishes and taste the typical products, such as focaccia and homemade bread, mozzarella and other cheeses, cold cuts, seasonal vegetables. Everything with the inevitable extra virgin olive oil and a good primitive wine.
This tour is developed along low traffic roads, countryside and natural cycle paths with slopes that can be easily faced by anyone. It is addressed to anyone (including families with children and babies and senior over 55), thanks to the use of e-bikes (adults/children model) and to the possibility to add a child's seat.
The e-bikes represent an alternative and eco-friendly means of transport fully respects the environment. They are designed to allow anyone (children and senior included) to cycle ride without efforts thanks to a smart electric pedal-assist motor. These e-bikes can reach a maximum speed of 25 kilometres and hour, anything beyond that will cause them to work like normal bikes. The e-bikes can be used as standard bikes at any time.
