We are in the heart of Tuscany, located halfway between Florence and Siena, a few kilometers from San Gimignano, on the outskirts of Certaldo. The lesson takes place in a charming farmhouse, surrounded by Tuscan hills.
You will learn to cook the traditional Tuscan dishes in a cheerful and informal atmosphere.
No cooking experience is required to take part in our half day course (about 4 hrs).
A qualified Italian Chef will teach you the secrets of the home-style Tuscan country food, “grandmother’s recipes”.
The hands-on course is based on local, fresh ingredients, so the recipes vary according to the season.
During the lesson, you will learn to prepare appetizers (bruschetta), different kinds of home-made fresh pasta (tagliatelle, gnocchi and ravioli), two sauces (ragù meat sauce, fresh vegetable sauce) and a traditional dessert from scratch.
After the cooking session, you will enjoy the delicious meal you prepared, accompanied by our Chianti wine and water.
