Did you already visit the most famous destinations? Would you like to have a unique, fun and unforgettable experience in Tuscany?

I recommend you a day in Colle Val D'Elsa, a medieval village outside the tourist routes, but that has so much to say and show you... It is the birthplace of Arnolfo di Cambio, the Architect of Palazzo Vecchio and the Cathedral of Florence. Here Carlo Lorenzini, better known as Carlo Collodi, entered the seminary and he get the inspiration to write the famous novel of Pinocchio. It is also the most important town of Italy in the production of crystal. So why do not stop and enjoy a nice day between his shops, palaces, stories and markets?

I propose you a Friday morning for a walking between the neighborhood of Santa Caterina and the ancient village, passing through Palazzo Campana and Via di Castello, talking about traditions, historic buildings, memories of battles and important people.

In 1269 it was the seat of a famous battle during the wars of Guelphs and Ghibellines and in 1479 it was besieged by Neapolitan troops. From the 14th century it was a possession of Florence and the Grand Duchy of Tuscany until the unification of Italy in 1860.

In the 20th century it became an important industrial center, where was produced paper, glass and crystal. We will slowly descend to discouver all industries and to reach the weekly market to have a taste of local flavors.

After buying some local staff why not have a delightful pic-nic by the river?(only recommended)
I will show you the Sentier Elsa, a natural path between the green and along Elsa river, where you will relax and refresh a bit...

It's will be a perfect place for a perfect day off tourists!
