Come to enjoy your real Tuscan experience at an exclusive and historical setting. The former wine farm with a fascinating historical cellar, is the heritage of the noble Guicciardini family who own the property since Medieval time. The wine cellar was reopened together with the Ciappi family, a successful local wine producer. The former wine farm was also a convent of Benedictine monks, dated the end of XIII century with all the buildings preserved and the guest house opened in the former monk`s rooms.

This is a guided tour of the historical 18th century wine cellar in the heart of Tuscany followed by a tasting of a selection of our local DOCG best wines (Chianti, Vernaccia di San Ginignano, Vin Santo and others) plus wide option of Tuscan traditional food and snacks, from antipasto of cheese and ham to the full lunch option with traditional Tuscan dishes.

The wine cellar is located near the famous medieval San Gimignano (10km) in Certaldo, the home place of Giovanni Boccaccio. For big groups, coming with buses, we have a spacious parking.

During the olive oil tasting experience you will learn the history and cultivation of the Tuscan olive oil. We will explain step by step the olive oil production, and then you will learn how to taste olive oil properly and how to appreciate and distinguish all its characteristics.
Usually we offer 3 different types of olive oil tasting with traditional Tuscan snacks, such as Fettunta 'Greased slice' (grilled bread, rubbed with a garlic, drizzled with the best olive oil, and then sprinkled with coarse sea salt) and Pinzimonio with seasonal vegetables (raw vegetables dipped in olive oil). We also offer the option of light traditional lunch with Ribollita soup (Tuscan soup made with bread and vegetables) and Biscotti all’olio di oliva (Biscuits made with olive oil).

You will learn to cook the traditional Tuscan dishes in a fascinating historical location (XIX century). Guided by a qualified Italian Chef, you will discover the secrets and pleasures of Italian cuisine. Our hands-on cooking lesson is based on fresh, organic and seasonal ingredients. Are you ready for an authentic Tuscan experience?  

We are in the heart of Tuscany, located halfway between Florence and Siena, a few kilometers from San Gimignano, on the outskirts of Certaldo. The lesson takes place in a charming farmhouse, surrounded by Tuscan hills.

You will learn to cook the traditional Tuscan dishes in a cheerful and informal atmosphere.
No cooking experience is required to take part in our half day course (about 4 hrs).
A qualified Italian Chef will teach you the secrets of the home-style Tuscan country food, “grandmother’s recipes”.
The hands-on course is based on local, fresh ingredients, so the recipes vary according to the season.
During the lesson, you will learn to prepare appetizers (bruschetta), different kinds of  home-made fresh pasta (tagliatelle, gnocchi and ravioli), two sauces (ragù meat sauce, fresh vegetable sauce) and a  traditional dessert from scratch.
After the cooking session, you will enjoy the delicious meal you prepared, accompanied by our Chianti wine and water.
Vegetarian, gluten-free and vegan options are always available on request.
