Located on the southern shore of Lake Como, the luxurious city of Como is among Italy’s most scenic destinations. Get a feel for Como’s charms on this private, 2-hour walking tour. From its pretty piazzas and its lakefront to its medieval houses and its white-marble Duomo, you’ll want to bring along a camera to capture this photogenic city.

Set out at 10am and meet your guide at the Piazza Volta. From there, embark on a private, 2-hour walking tour of Como, located on northern Italy’s gorgeous Lake Como.

On this walking tour, you’ll be shown the city’s must-see sights, while your guide schools you in the region’s history. Visit Piazza Cavour — the town’s main square — and the lovely Piazza Volta (named in honor of the Como-born Alessandro Volta, the inventor of the battery). Explore Cortesella, the city’s medieval old town.

Next, visit the Duomo, Como’s best-known landmark. Constructed from white marble, the beautiful cathedral is often described as the last Gothic cathedral constructed in Italy. Built over the course of several centuries, it showcases an intriguing blend of architectural influences.

Your tour continues through Como’s Piazza San Fedele and past the city’s medieval fortification walls, beyond which lies the modern center of Como. As you wander through the city, enjoy views of the sparkling lake that makes this region famous.

Your tour concludes back at the centrally located Duomo.

Welcome to Bellagio, one of the most famous villages in the world, located on Como Lake. Enjoy a 3-hour hands-on cooking class in a family-owned restaurant followed by a full gourmet 3-course lunch. Aperitifs and wine or beer is included.

Just a few minutes drive from Bellagio’s city center and Lake Como, sits an elegant restaurant and is home to the award-winning imaginative chef. While young, this chef worked in the illustrious Villa D’Este for seven years and has already won 40 gold medals in international culinary competitions. Still, the chef is humble and energetic as he talks about using local ingredients and teaches his hands-on pasta cooking class in his family-owned restaurant.

Your culinary adventure begins at 10:00 a.m. when you are picked up from your hotel lobby in Bellagio, post office, or ferry gate and you hear tales from the kitchen on the ride over to the family’s restaurant. Once at the restaurant,  relax for a moment with a cup of coffee or cappuccino with your chef and then you put on an apron and explore the herb garden  behind the restaurant. The hands-on cooking lesson begins at 10:30 a.m. and focuses on creating homemade pasta fresca, packed with fresh daily ingredients, as well as risotto, tagliatelle, gnocchi and a dessert which changes daily.

After the class, enjoy lunch on the terrace (weather permitting). Chef Luigi will also send you off with a home made bottle of olive oil, an apron, a diploma of participation, as well as a recipe book (in English) focused on dishes typical to the region. Your class ends at around 2:30 p.m. when you return to Bellagio town or your Bellagio hotel in a van with all of your culinary souvenirs.

With mountains and a lake in easy reach, Como is fertile ground for fine food. During a 2.5-hour tour of the town’s historic center, you’ll discover the locals’ favorite bakeries, delicatessens, and wine shops. The walk-and-eat experience also takes in landmarks such as the Cathedral of Como, and includes fun facts about the town’s history, culture, and architecture. Even better: Numbers are limited to 15 people for a personalized food tour.

After meeting your guide and small group of no more than 15 people, set out on a walking tour of Lake Como's historic center.

Visit the Cathedral of Como, with its striking Gothic-Renaissance architecture, stop to see the town hall of Palazzo Broletto and the Romanesque Church of San Fedele and the 18th-century Teatro Sociale. Along the way, learn more about the region's cuisine and discover the best places to eat in the town.

Walk to a historic café for an espresso and a pasticcino of your choice. Then, wander around the lakeside neighborhoods to sample focaccia and regional local cheeses. Stop in a wine shop for a tasting, and nibble on cured meat such as bresaola, prosciutto, salami, and mortadella. Finally, learn of traditional ways to cook the lake fish as you try Como’s take on finger food. If you booked the morning or twilight tour, your tour ends here.

If you selected the upgrade, then continue to one of Como’s traditional restaurants to finish with a lunch/dinner influenced by the local land and lake. Dishes change, but typically you’ll savor two types of pasta along with wine, water, and espresso.

Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.

A 4 hour guided trekking through chestnut woods and characteristic villages providing unparalleled views over the lake and the mountains. Small group tour with a maximum of 15 travelers. An ideal guided, excursion for families that will allow you to enjoy also two means of transport typical of our region: the funicular and the boat.

This 4 hour guided trekking will allow you to discover part of the “Strada Regia” a panoramic mountainside path winding through chestnut woods and characteristic villages.

This path was the ancient way of connection between Como and Bellagio (32 km). The Strada Regia is ideally divided into 3 stages: we suggest the Brunate - Torno section, which is one of the most scenic.

A professional guide will meet you in Como, from the lakeside road in the town center and will climb to Brunate by funicular. The tram-like vehicle shuffles between the lake and the mountain village in 8 minutes.

At the top you will start your trekking, walking by charming villas dating back to the early 20th century. Continue along the trail until Monti di Sorto, a pleasant spot to take a rest, with a fountain, a chapel and a nice panoramic view.

The path crosses valleys and villages until reaching the enchanting hamlet of Monte Piatto. Here you will stop to re-fuel enjoying the view over the lake from the church Santa Elisabetta and taking photos of the curious “Pietra Pendula”, a huge boulder suspended on the apex of a limestone rock. A 15 min walk will take you to Piazzaga another nice hamlet with crotto and chapel, from where you will start your descent to Torno along a well defined mule track.

Boats leave regularly from the beautiful harbor-square, piazza Casartelli. A pleasant cruise will take you back to Como.
