Merge yourself in a typical Italian atmosphere by visiting an authentic winery at the bottom of the Mount Vesuvius. Learn all about wine making methods by an expert vintner. Discover the land of Lacrima Christi wine and taste local delicacies.
Live an amazing wine experience in a typical Neapolitan winery. Discover Lacrima Christi, the wine that has its roots in this terroir. This land and its unique food and wine are joined by a golden thread of
history and culture that weaves its way magically through the landscape at the foot of Mount Vesuvius, the cuisine created over the centuries in local kitchens, and the historic
passion for wine.
Enjoy an unforgettable
tasting experience which combines the land and its traditions in a flavorful whole, beginning with a guided walk through the vineyards on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius overlooking the Bay of Naples, Sorrento, and the Island of Capri. Let you be guided by an
expert vintner: he will teach you about the ground, the territory, the viticulture and the grape harvest. Afterwards, tour the winery where Lacrima Christi DOC is produced: you'll visit everything from the presses, where it all begins, to the barrel room, where our wines are aged. Then, sit down for a wine tasting, paired with samples of local specialties. Here’s the tasting menu:
• Appetizer with local products: salami, provolone cheese, "casatiello" (a savory bread), and bruschetta with heirloom Piennolo tomatoes on bread baked in a wood-burning oven, paired with Lacryma Christi del Vesuvio Bianco DOP, Rosato, and Rosso.
• Homemade bread with Extra Virgin Olive Oil and with Lacryma Christi DOC vinegar.
• Spaghetti made with durum wheat flour and tossed with a sauce made from heirloom Piennolo tomatoes and basil, paired with Lacryma Christi Riserva.
• Pastiera Napolitana, a traditional dessert featuring sweetened ricotta, candied fruit, and boiled wheat berries, paired with Capafresca Spumante Rosato and Acquavite di Albicocche del Vesuvio, an apricot distillate.
