The pick-up will take place at 9 am at the hotel (at the junction) in Lecce.

The first stop is Otranto, the most eastern city of Italy, a “bridge” between East and West, a place rich in history, art, culture and Caribbean beaches. You can start with the visit of the Aragonese Castle, a defensive stronghold of the city, a real masterpiece of military architecture and today a place of culture. The interior of the castle is in fact the site of interesting exhibitions that the public can access free of charges.

After visiting the castle, you can do a walk  in the old town, a maze of narrow streets and alleys, the oldest and most characteristic part of the city. A stroll down the narrow streets, which occasionally give way to the azure sea views, you are transported back in time, with small houses, plots of stairways, green courtyards, and shops of handicrafts and local crafts.

To refresh yourselves from the walk, the chaffeur will be a stop for lunch at the Farm "Le Creste", an ideal place to eat healthy and genuine products in contact with nature. Here we will taste typical dishes of the Apulian tradition in a warm and friendly atmosphere, a safe place to recharge.

As the last stage, you can choose between a former quarry of bauxite or Punta Palascia or both!

The former quarry of bauxite is almost lunar environment created by the presence of a former quarry used to extract the 'red ore' which has formed an emerald green lake that makes the view simply extraordinary. The color of the water creates a fascinating contrast to the surrounding rock walls, which shine with a beautiful deep red. The landscape is surrounded by vegetation with its bright green creates a wonderful place to visit at least once in their lifetime.

Punta Palascìa, which creates a meeting point between the Ionian Sea and the Adriatic Sea. From there you can enjoy a breath-taking view characterized by a beautiful lighthouse, known as one of the five most important in the Mediterranean, that stands out among the rocks and overlooks the vast almost never-ending sea.

The drop-off will be at 4,30pm at your favourite point.

A tour rich in history, culture, art and culinary art.

The story told through churches, monuments and architecture of the historic center of Galatina and Gallipoli; through the wine culture with a break in the L’Astore di Cutrofiano for wine tasting (at own expense); through a visit in the characteristic and well-known fish-market of Gallipoli.

Tour guide is not included.

The pick-up will take place at 9am in your favourite location in Lecce.

Your first stop in this driven tour will be in Galatina. Galatina is the city in which testimonies of the Latin and Greek cultures coexist in harmony, mingling with the magic-esoteric "tarantism", which is why the city rites can be called an "outdoor museum" and in 2005 was declared City of Art. One of the most important buildings is the Church of Santa Caterina, a fresco jewel in Gothic-Byzantine style and therefore declared National Monument; and the Mother Church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul.

Then there are the numerous palaces in precious and elegant Baroque style; the three gates of the city, only evidence of the ancient city walls, and the three Basilian crypts intended as places of worship and abode by the Basilian monks.

After Galatina, your driver will take you to Cantina L'Astore in Cutrofiano, about 100 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, where you can have lunch and taste local wines.

Finally, your driver will take you to Gallipoli, the tourist center for its beautiful beaches and crystal clear water.

Gallipoli is a trendy town that still keeps the atmosphere of the ancient fishing village. Its name derives from the greek "Kalé polis", which means "beautiful city" and is in fact called Pearl of the Ionian Sea. The old town is situated on a limestone island connected to the mainland by a stone bridge, and it is a continuous overlapping of building structures of various periods and different cultural backgrounds. The architecture of the buildings enchants with its wonderful Baroque style, characterized by sumptuous decorations with floral motifs and angels and the use of Carparo, a calcareous stone that comes from the cementation of limestone sediments, usually in the marine environment.

After a walk downtown, we strongly recommend a stop in Piazza della Dogana, home to the folklorist fish market. Every day the fishermen open their oily fish shoals, sea bream and sea bass, groupers and octopuses. You will find a mix of perfumes and silver fish that contrast with the bright colors of the boats and the blue sea.

At the end of the walk your chauffeur will be waiting to take you back to the meeting point in Lecce at 4.30pm

Explore some of Puglia's gorgeous scenery with this 9-hour day trip from Lecce to Santa Maria di Leuca and Specchia. See caves and geological formations, including an underground olive press. Enjoy panoramic views and lunch (own expense) at Patù/San Gregorio.

Get picked up at your hotel or other location in central Lecce by your driver for the day.

Travel first to Santa Maria di Leuca, which sits on the southernmost tip of the Salento peninsula on a stunningly beautiful bay. It's a popular town with visitors, and is steeped in history. According to legend, it was in this area that Aeneas, the founding father of the Roman people, set foot on land. And Saint Peter is said to have started on his missionary work in Italy from here. Visit the town's cathedral, which is located where there was once a temple to the goddess Minvera - on the right when you enter the church you can see a relic from this time.

Hire a local sailor to take you on a boat tour, which is the only way to see the truly fascinating underwater caves and other geological formations off the coast.

Continue to Patù/San Gregorio, where you can eat lunch (own expense) at the Bar del Moro, a local relaxed atmosphere with a breathtaking panorama. Sample typical local products in the various dishes.

Next, head for Specchia, where the historic center is still set according to a typical Medieval town plan, where the center is the castle. The most evocative part of the village is that behind the castle, among flights of stairs and short, narrow streets, among the alleyways and courtyards. Don't miss the recently-restored underground olive press, a testament to the historical importance of olive oil production in Specchia and in Puglia in general. There are four underground olive presses - Scupola, Cicca, Perrone, and Francescai Neri. The mills were built in the 15th-19th centuries, carved out of the soft tufa rock.

At the conclusion of the trip, your driver will return you to your starting point in Lecce.

Please note: This day trip does not include a tour guide, and all exploration is self-guided. Entry fees, boat trips, and meals are all at your own expense.

Visit the studio of a famous local sculptor in Lecce.  Experience and enjoy a "brief" course during which you will be able to create a sculpture with the local limestone.

In 2000, this famous artist discovers Lecce limestone and remains fascinated by its features, deciding to elect it as the basis for his art.

Since then, his passion for sculpture has risen day by day, until it became a "profession". The sculptor has, then, opened his workshop where he realizes, with the local stones, sculptures, lamps and furniture, sinuous and captivating. Thanks to the latter he became a worthy representative of Salento handicraft and sculpture.

Visiting his laboratory will be a once in a lifetime experience! You will see how he works the local stone without the use of electrical machinery, as his ancestors did centuries ago in the old artisan shops.

You will be his assistant and you will create a small object of your choice that will remain as a souvenir to take with you.
